A regenerative infrastructure initiative restoring balance to Bali’s ecosystems and sacred waters
We envision a future where waste is no longer pollution but potential, where plastic is transformed into products, landfills are revitalized and communities thrive in the right relationship with the Earth, meeting the third Tri Hita Karana principle ‘Harmony with Nature'.
OUR MISSION
At ONE. BALI, our mission is to establish Bali as a global model for circular waste management, where community‒led action and cutting‒edge recycling technologies come together to build a cleaner, thriving island.
THE CHALLENGE
Bali currently lacks the infrastructure to manage its rising plastic waste crisis
Vast amounts of non‒recyclable plastic are burned in the streets, dumped into rivers, or left to accumulate in landfills, polluting waterways, threatening marine life, and endangering human health.
The island’s waste sector is largely informal, with thousands of waste pickers, many of them women, working under unsafe conditions with little to no income security.
“Bali generates 930 tonnes of plastic waste per day. Less than 10% is recycled effectively.”

OUR SOLUTION
Redefining regeneration in action
ONE BALI is a regenerative infrastructure venture transforming Bali’s waste into circular wealth through pyrolysis technology, we are dedicated to creating impact at scale for the environment, the economy and local communities.
Our solution is a dual business model combining community‒level recycling with industrial‒scale plastic processing. This two‒pronged approach creates a closed‒loop system from village to industry.
1. Industrial Pyrolisis Infrastructure
We deploy industrial‒scale pyrolysis technology that transforms 15,000 tonnes per year per site of low‒value plastic into high‒value advanced bio‒oil through our joint venture with Corsair, delivering both profitability and sustainability at scale.
2. Community Empowerement
We establish decentralized sorting and washing hubs, operated in partnership with local Banjars and women‒led cooperatives, to empower informal waste workers with fair wages, training, and dignity.
OUR CIRCULAR PROCESS
1
Local Collection
Waste is gathered from landfills, waste pickers, and village hubs.
2
Sorting & Washing
Feedstock is cleaned and prepped in local facilities for pyrolysis.
3
Industrial Conversion
Using our partner Corsair’s proprietary pyrolysis tech, plastic is transformed into high-grade Bio-Oil.
4
Export & Revenue
Bio-Oil is sold to Shell and other buyers via long-term offtake agreements. Revenues are reinvested locally.
ALIGNMENT & IMPACT
Supports Indonesian National Plastic Action Plan (30% by 2029).
Marine Waste Regulation alignment (PERMEN PAREKRAF No. 5/2020).
Supports Bali's Plastic-Free 2027 goals.
Scalable across Southeast Asia.
Scaling to 3 factories = 45,000 tonnes/year.
120 jobs for locals.
Local Waste collector networks supported through economic empowerment & inclusion.
